The Sense of Values Quartet is a jazz group from Spain lead by cellist Amalia L. Chueca and pianist José Ignacio Hernández, and includes bassists Cuni Mantilla or Miguel Ángel Pimentel, along with drummer Julio Pérez.
A chance meeting in July of 2011 of Ehlis, Chueca and Hernández at the Stone in New York City when pianist Karl Berger was conducting an improvisers orchestra has blossomed into a full-fledged musical collaboration.
This is a group of artists who are listening, playing, feeling it together and communicating to make music in the moment.
"Where the Rivers Meet" is their first record together. (Sívac Records 1006CD)
